Darcie Green is a Trustee and immediate President of the Santa Clara County Board of Education. Darcie is a wife, a mother and a champion for children.

“Darcie Green is a smart and capable Latina leader. She has already represented our community to the Legislature for over a decade, and is the only candidate who truly understands how our state government works,” said retired Superintendent and State Assemblyman Joe Coto. “She has my full support along with that of the CA Latino Legislative Caucus, La Raza Roundtable, former Supervisor Blanca Alvarado, parents, neighbors and many others.”

Darcie is a member and past President of the Santa Clara County Board of Education, where she helped create the “Strong Start” coalition that focuses on ensuring all children access to early education. She was Vice-President of the Alum Rock School Board, named one of San Jose Business Journal's top “Women of Influence” and was recognized by Silicon Valley Latino Magazine.

“Darcie Green is a champion for women and girls,” said former San Jose Vice - Mayor and County Supervisor Blanca Alvarado. “She advocated for our health, education and child care needs as President of DAWN (Democratic Activists Women Now) and worked endlessly to help bring resources to our County. We need Darcie to represent us in Sacramento.”

Darcie received the CA Democratic Party’s JFK Jr. Award for Public Service for her work in helping empower others. She is on-leave from her job at Kaiser Permanente where she led efforts on health policy, community partnerships and advised policy makers. A tireless public servant, she is also a wife and mother.
